This app is designed to enhance your child's phonemic awareness skills, a crucial factor in reading success according to research (Stanovich, 1986; 1993; Share & Stanovich, 1995). With Letter Free Phonics, your child can develop a strong foundation in the primary sounds of the alphabet letters, setting the stage for effective reading.

In addition to learning the letter sounds, this app also aids your child in identifying beginning sounds of words and understanding how words are made up of phonemes. Studies have shown that children with high phonemic awareness perform better in literacy measures compared to those with low awareness, regardless of instructional method (Griffith, Klesius, & Kromrey, 1992).

Letter Free Phonics focuses on building essential reading skills by nurturing your child's ability to listen for and distinguish sounds at the beginnings of words. Through engaging games and practice, this app helps your child develop necessary neural pathways for sound recognition. When introduced to printed letters, your child will already be familiar with the primary sounds each letter produces, making alphabet learning easier than without phonemic instruction.
